Just uploaded a video! Haven't done a beer review since Memorial day.... So Labor day naturally seemed like a good day to do another! Got Maire in on this one too which I always like!! Sorry about all the sirens, I didn't even notice them when we were filming! Enjoy!!

Apple Event 2015 (longest blog ever.... Sorry LoL)

The big event of the year everyone waits for.... everyone..... Android fans wait for it to see what features Apple is adding to their devices that Android has had for years but selling as brand new, Apple fans wait for the Kool Aid to be poured about these "new features" and fawn all over them..... At least, that was the case..... With the release of the iPhone 6 and 6 plus last year, the gap between the 2 operating systems and devices has  significantly  closed! I've been an Android fan since 2010 when I purchased my first Android device. I not only liked the UI, I liked the brand.... I was already a Linux OS user, I liked the free and open nature, the freedom to customize everything, the choice of different apps to do the same thing to find the one that fit you best! There was always just one thing I WAS always envious over though.... The iPhone always just worked!  Old, new, memory full, they had an unparalleled reliability! Let's skip to the Apple Event last y...

Big Red Closer Than We Thought To a 5G Network!

I remember going from my 3G BlackBerry to my 4G HTC Thunderbolt.... The first 4G device released on the VZW network. Sadly, the Thunderbolt turned out to be an incredibly shitty phone, but they have a chance to redeem themselves! Apparently Big Red's 5G network is closer than we thought!!  If it's really faster than Google Fiber like they say it's going to be..... This may be a home internet replacement if the bandwidth is good enough!

Biking Update!

Biking to work has been SO nice over the past few weeks!! Since the days  are  getting shorter I’ve started thinking what I’m going to do with this thing in the off season to prepare it for next season. I didn’t to MUCH this year, but it counted. This thing has run better this year than it has in YEARS past! This year I really concentrated on maintenance. I took a LOT of time just taking things apart, cleaning them, lubing them, and making sure they worked as they should. The rear brakes had been funny for 2 or 3 years now, I took care of that. I cleaned the HELL out of the drivetrain and installed a new chain so it’s been shifting like new this season (the fact that I haven’t gone on any real MTB type muddy off road trails probably helps too…)  My plans this off season (finance permitting of course) are…..  get a new bottom bracket, the one I have has started failing this year buy a cassette tool so I can remove to better clean and change the cassette as neede...

A New Way Of Building Roads!

What if tomorrow's roads could be constructed in a fraction of the time, be stronger, AND use a waste material??   Tomorrow's roads, could be today's plastics!! Saw this article and thought it was REAL cool! Hope they can get this off the ground, and hope it can make it's way to the USA! The fact that we still aren't using the metric system tells me that this may  not happen in my lifetime.....
